To date, there has been no evidence to suggest that COVID-19 can be transmitted through mosquito bites.

It spreads primarily through respiratory droplets from an infected person coughs or sneezes. It can spread from people who are exhibiting symptoms or asymptomatic.

The coronavirus cannot be transmitted via mosquitoes.

World Health Organization (WHO)

“Mosquitoes cannot transmit the disease,” Tarik Jasarevic said, a WHO spokesman, because the virus does not widely circulate in blood. Covid-19 more prevalent in lungs and the respiratory tract.

There is no data to suggest” that the coronavirus is spread by mosquitoes.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Independent experts have agreed that not a single reported case of Covid-19 has been transmitted by mosquito bite.

USDA weighs in

The USDA studied whether the coronavirus can be spread by mosquitoes, to corroborate the statements from CDC and WHO. Their research effort was cited in an internal briefing memo on the coronavirus response and reviewed by non-profit newsroom ProPublica.

Joseph Conlon, a former U.S. Navy entomologist and technical adviser for the American Mosquito Control Association, said the possibility of mosquito transmission of the coronavirus is “nil.”

Conlon said the USDA research could help stop speculation about mosquito transmission, a notion that has gained some traction as the global death toll rises.

Mosquito Prevention

Mosquitoes can, however, carry a multitude of diseases. In fact, they are the most deadly creature on earth. Intentional mosquito control must continue during the pandemic.

We work to prevent the spread of disease through the greater Houston area, Harris County and beyond. In addition to the CDC and WHO, we stay informed through the American Mosquito Control Association and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Misting Systems

Our MOSQUITOMAX™ automated misting system offers a permanent mosquito control solution. We anticipate a large mosquito population this spring and summer due to high temperatures and more rain. Misting systems are the best way to prevent mosquitoes in your yard and are proven to be effective by the EPA.

In addition, we also repair all models of tank and tankless systems and sell controller upgrade kits for your existing barrel system.

Yard Fogging

For a more economical option, we also offer fogging treatments. A $80 fog treatment will lasts 3-4 weeks. Fogging or backpack/barrier spraying will not as effective as a misting system, but if applied regularly, you should get good results.
